The prompt for this project was simply just “boat logo”. Given a list of sample names to choose from, I chose “Star Point Marina”. I knew that I wanted to combine a shooting star with a sail boat to some capacity. The resulting image that came about as a result of this was able to integrate as a separation point for the emblem text. “Marina” was chosen to be the most predominant text displayed, as the idea behind the design was that it would serve a duel purpose as an emblem for the marina and as a sign that would be displayed at the entrance of the location. The blue color was meant to be reminiscent of the water and would work well against a white vinyl sign. To the left of the boat, a constellation can be seen that is representative of Aquarius, the water bearer.
