I was tasked with creating a logo that utilized a flame. From this concept, came Flint & Flame. To me, when I heard “flint” my mind went to Native Americans and their use of flint to make tools and weapons. Because of this, I knew that I wanted to blend the flame icon with an arrowhead. As far as the rest of the mark goes, I wanted to give an overall feel of wood with the texture, with the goal of using this logo for a western Native American themed sports bar. The color red was chosen in order to tie in the connection with the flame element. As far as why the logo was chosen to be put on a tilt, I wanted to have it appear as if it was stamped at random onto a wooden surface.
