I was tasked with creating a fox logo for the company Read Fox. I liked the play on words between “red” and “read”, so I knew I wanted to incorporate a book with a box to some capacity. I decided to have the front and back cover of the book, as well as the pages, work to create the bottom half of the fox face. This also helps to create a feeling of immersion as the fox is becoming so enveloped with the book. This logo was created with a book spine in mind. The idea being that it could be used for a book publisher. The serif font was chosen to reflect an intelligent nature blended with a whimsical side.
